Blue Clouds

Animal and Vegetable Lard, 4m x 6.6m x 3cm
Blue Clouds was specifically created for the gallery space, both responding to the environment and challenging the expectations of what can be achieved with unexpected, but everyday materials.
The work is made out of coloured animal and vegetable lard assembled on the floor to create an artificial sky and cloud space. The natural light in the gallery filtered through the ‘lard sky’ creating a beautiful, uplifting visual experience for the visitor while also surprising them with a substance usually found in the fridge!
